Congratulations to the first winner of the Miss Wayne County title, Rebecca Dishman!

Both Sarah and Rebecca will represent Monticello and Wayne County in the 2005 Miss Kentucky Pageant to be held in Lexington in June.

The 10th annual Miss Monticello/Miss Wayne County Area and Miss Teen Monticello pageants will be held at the A.J. Lloyd Middle School in Monticello, Kentucky, on November 13th, 2004.  The pageant will begin at 6:00 PM (EST).
 
In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Miss Monticello Pageant all past titleholders have been invited back to participate in the anniversary pageant production.

Contestant Eligibility Requirements

The Miss Monticello pageant is open to all young ladies in the state of Kentucky between the ages of 18 and 24. The new Miss Wayne County Area must be a resident of Wayne County or attend a local high school in Wayne County.  Teen contestants must be a resident of Wayne County and currently in grades 8-11. Each contestant must be female, single and never married, a citizen of the United States and a resident of Kentucky for at least six months.

Miss contestants have no entry fee and Teen contestants must meet the requirements plus pay a $40 entry fee. Each contestant needs to send one headshot for the judges' book and program book. Photographs may be wallet size and preferably color. These will be returned.

All paperwork and photographs must be sent to the pageant director by October 29, 2004.  Paperwork for the pageant can be obtained by clicking the Pageant Application Information link to your left above.  Contestants will appear on stage in opposite order of paperwork received.  Talent requests will be granted on a first come, first serve basis, so it is important to get your paperwork in as soon as possible!

Awards

In the Teen division there will be five finalists recognized along with one non-finalist talent winner. The non-finalist talent winner will receive a plaque. Fourth runner-up through First runner-up will receive flowers and a trophy. The new Miss Teen Monticello will receive flowers, a crown, $200 cash scholarship, and entry fee paid to the Miss Kentucky Teen Pageant in June.

In the Miss Monticello division there will be five finalists recognized along with one non-finalist talent winner. The non-finalist talent winner will receive a plaque. Fourth and Third runner-up will receive flowers and a trophy. The second runner-up will receive flowers, trophy and a $50 cash scholarship. First runner-up will receive flowers, trophy and a $100 cash scholarship. The new Miss Monticello will receive flowers, crown and a $500 cash scholarship and will represent Monticello in the 2004 Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant. The top three finishers will also be eligible for numerous in-kind scholarships.

Important Pageant Information

Orientation for the pageant will be held at Lloyd Middle School at 9:00 AM (EST) on November 13th. Teen orientation will be held on November 4th at Lloyd Middle School. Production numbers and talent rehearsals will immediately follow the orientation on the day of the pageant with interviews beginning at approximately 1:00 PM. Contestants will appear in interview attire in the opening number. The evening competition will begin at approximately 6:00 PM (EST).
 
Contestants will compete in the following areas in this sequence:  Interview, Swimwear/Sportswear, Talent, Evening Wear and On-Stage Question.  For more information about the various events click on the Areas of Competition link at the top left of the page.
